This page used to have just one sentence:
As a Financial Organizer and Consultant, I love working with small businesses and individuals to successfully manage their finances.
That’s true, but it hasn’t got anything to do with what the blog is about.
It used to feature straight personal finance articles, but since personal finance is a subject very well covered in the blogosphere, I thought it would be fun to try something different, starting with the financial soap opera series Debits of Our Lives, then History of American Money Values, and finally, as explained in this post, a memoir series My Life Unscrambled to tie all of the ideas in the separate threads together using my own personal narrative.
The memoir posts created a controversy, so I took an internet break for a couple of months to think about the big picture of life and business, help my son with his business venture, travel with my daughter and catch up on housework and gardening.
The internet time off was fruitful on a number of levels, but the main thing I learned is that it’s okay to change your mind.
This blog is taking a pretty radical change in direction, from a laser beam focus on nuts and bolts personal finance to a looser, more whimsical take on
- personal memoir,
- personal finance with emphasis on personal,
- entrepreneurial endeavors like The Adventures of Gray Kitty,
- stupid business mistakes that are easy to make, and
- random stuff.
Welcome aboard for a whacky ride.
