I am late to the Gray story, but the photo of the lump in your bed made me laugh out loud. We have a cat like Gray that we took in 10 years ago now. He lives quite comfortably in our workshop, with 2 cockatiels and a parrot for company. He allows these birds to sometimes perch on his back. It is safe to say that he feels at home.

Hi Mardel, so far we don’t have the jumping issue you describe, but I know what you mean about rear claws. Sometimes when we’re holding Gray, he freaks and jumps and those rear claws have torn my knit pants. If he hears a sudden or unfamiliar sound he goes crazy. And he’s really strong.

There is a lot of running up and down stairs here too although recently that run has included trying to jump on mom’s lap while she is at her desk. I am not happy about the marks the rear claws leave so I am trying to stop this behavior.

You have accomplished so much with Gray. Congratulations to all of you.

Oh Susan, what a lovely update on Gray. He is adorable! I love the lump under the cover….ha ha. A swishing tail is a great sign, poor Gray had a tough life but thanks to you two he is in home of love! Our boys say Hi! Meow meow…. xoxoxo
