My grandmother wasn't bald and she didn't wear wigs, but my aunts wore 'hair pieces' so there were those styrofoam heads around grandmother's house as well. Also, she was a hairdresser. Soaps were part of her routine - the TV was in the large kitchen, the centre of the the household routines, but I was sent out of the room when Peyton Place came on! I'd forgotten about Mr. Clean, though in trying to figure out the English versions of various cleaning products, he has drifted in and out of consciousness! I didn't watch grandmother bathe or put on make-up, but I do remember her struggling into her girdle! Too fun!

I want to hear about the shopping adventures!! Woohoo!

And this is so hysterical: "It was during one of these baths I learned that I should always wear fresh, beautiful panties with little embroidered flowers in case I ever got into a car accident and had to be rushed to the hospital. I wouldn’t want the doctors and nurses to see my filthy, ugly underwear would I?" Life lessons. :)
